Silversea Explorer

Year Built:
Tonnage:
Passenger Capacity:
Ship Rating

Silversea’s Silver Explorer travels to some of the world’s most remote destinations. Debuting originally as the Delfin Clipper, the ship is now equipped with a strengthened hull, with Lloyd’s Register ice-glass notation. This feature allows the vessel to travel through ice flows.

But that’s not all there is. Silversea aims to create an enriching, exciting experience for all travelers, and in doing so, it designed the Silver Explorer with a fleet of Zodiac boats to travel close to shore. An expedition team further provides the knowledge and guidance for getting an in-depth look at ports and regions across the world.

The Silver Explorer accommodates 132 people with 66 ocean-view rooms. Get a glimpse of the surrounding ocean and landscape as you take itineraries to Polynesia, South America, Africa, Europe, the Norwegian fjords, Canada, and Antarctica.

Accommodations

The Silver Explorer’s staterooms are divided into 10 possible types between the economical Adventure Suites, about 157 square feet, and the grand Owner’s Suite (728 square feet). Rooms have either a window facing the ocean or a balcony.

The rooms come with Silversea’s typical features. Butler service is ready to meet your needs, while European bath amenities, fine linens, down duvets, and a flat screen television add to the room’s comforts. A mini-bar and refrigerator are stocked to your specifications.

When it comes time to dine, the Silver Explorer has two options. The Outdoor Grill and Whirlpool presents multiple casual meals for dining outdoors. The Restaurant, a bit more formal, offers a choice of contemporary and international cuisine.

Activities

When you’re not exploring ports across the world, relax on board the Silver Explorer. There are activities for all interests.

Shop in the boutique, where you’ll find discounts on designer brands, or get a manicure in the beauty salon. The Fitness Centre is open with classes and top-notch equipment, so come on in to build up your strength. After a long day, schedule a massage, body wrap, or similar treatment in the Spa at Silversea to rejuvenate.

In between ports, travelers tend to gravitate toward the Observation Lounge, a central area with comfortable seating, live music, and stunning panoramic views.

To get as much as you can out of your voyage, come by The Theater for one of the lectures and seminars. Various experts put on demonstrations about the region you’ll soon visit.

Get as close as you can to some of the world’s less-seen destinations on board the Silver Explorer. If you’re considering one of the expeditions, find all itineraries through Direct Line Cruises before you book your trip.
