Oceania Nautica

Year Built:
Tonnage:
Passenger Capacity:
Ship Rating

The sister ship to the Insignia and Regatta, the Nautica set sail for the first time in 2000. The vessel had originally been designed for the now-defunct Renaissance Cruises, and for Oceania, it’s built to handle 684 guests.

Recent years have seen the Nautica undergo a multi-million dollar transformation, with improvements unveiled in Spring 2014. Inside, however, the ship continues to retain its well-known warmth and character, through such touches as teak, stone, and tile balconies, museum-level art collections and many rich fabrics and furnishings.

Since being part of the Oceania fleet, the Nautica has made trips all over the world. Current itineraries include Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa, the South Pacific, and transatlantic cruises.

Staterooms

Oceania’s standard accommodations begin with the Penthouse Suites, which offer 322 square feet of space, and then move up to the Vista Suites, which more than double it with 786 square feet. Along with luxurious beds and a choice of media, travelers receive butler service in these rooms.

The Owner’s Suite represents the Nautica’s top tier of luxury. Over 1,000 square feet is a private veranda, a second bathroom, flat screen televisions, a laptop and iPad, cashmere blankets, and a Bvlgari gift set. Travelers also have the choice of in-suite dining and get priority shore excursion reservations.

Dining

Meals on board the Nautica center around the Grand Dining Room. Described as eating inside a European five-star restaurant, the space displays detailed frescoes on the wall and domed ceiling, while guests have a choice of several European-inspired continental meals.

As you go about your cruise, you’ll find the dining options immense and varied, from several bars and lounges serving anything from espresso and pastries to fine whiskey, to afternoon tea and room service. The ship further features a choice of specialty dining, including the following restaurants onboard:

Toscana: An Italian staff prepares Tuscan dishes originating from family recipes. You’ll receive excellently-paired wine through knowledgeable sommeliers.

Polo Grill: What’s considered the finest steakhouse at sea not only features delectable dishes but also a décor of dark furnishings and leather chairs.

Terrace Café: Stop by for breakfast and lunch, served from a buffet with changing menus.

Waves: Get a bite to eat midday from this casual eating spot. The menu features burgers and fries, barbecue, seafood, gelato, and many healthy sides.

Activities

As you travel onboard the Nautica, few can resist the draw of the Canyon Ranch Spa Club. From the same family of wellness centers with a 30-year history, this facility opens up the door to true rejuvenation through a range of treatments and exercise options. Schedule a massage, acupuncture session, a body wrap, or body scrub during your time at sea.

Many also prefer the relaxation of a beauty treatment, and the Nautica’s equipped for this. Stop by the salon, where professionals assist with hair coloring, manicures and pedicures, makeup, and tanning.

Or if the way you see relaxation is outdoors, come by the ship’s large heated pool or the three whirlpool spas. Others, instead, may find their passion at the casino, in a piano bar, shopping in the duty-free boutique, or reading in the English-inspired library.

The evening entices many with its top-notch headlining performances. From singers to magicians and comedians, there’s always someone onboard entertaining the crowd.

Experience part of the world, or even multiple continents, with a cruise onboard the Nautica. To schedule your trip, see all available itineraries through Direct Line Cruises.
