CRUISE SEARCH
Disney Dream
The Disney Dream, the cruise line’s third ship, took design and innovation to new heights when it debuted in 2011.
The Disney Cruise aesthetic remains, with a 1930s style pervading the ship. Walk around and you’ll pass by stunning murals, sparkling furnishings, and Art Deco touches. The Dream, however, is 40-percent larger than its predecessors, featuring 1,250 staterooms for 4,000 passengers and a host of gorgeous public spaces. Overall, Disney enhances the ship’s classic appearance with state of the art technology and convenient facilities specifically for families.
Staterooms & Dining
One character remains present throughout all staterooms onboard the Disney Dream: a yacht club, with contemporary amenities. Rooms feature split bathrooms – specifically for families – and even the smallest accommodates three to four people.
Standard rooms include Ocean View spaces with Verandahs or Inside Cabins, with features and amenities going up to the Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite and Concierge Royal Suite With Verandahs. These upscale rooms feature master bedroom and living room spaces, with upgraded amenities.
Disney divides the ship’s dining between elegant, adults-only spaces and themed, family restaurants. Options onboard the Dream include:
Animators Palate: Dine in a restaurant inspired by – you guessed it – decades of Disney animation.
Cabanas: This outdoor dining spot focuses on fresh, made-to-order foods.
Enchanted Garden: With the Garden of Versailles as inspiration, this restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all ages.
Flo’s Café and Preludes: These two casual restaurants are the perfect spots for grabbing a quick bite as you go about the ship.
Palo: This adults-only restaurants serves up a menu of delicious Italian cuisine.
Remy: This upscale and romantic restaurant – an adults-only spot – presents delicious dishes of French-inspired cuisine.
Royal Palace: With décor taking inspiration from classic Disney films, this restaurant lets you and your children savor a range of culinary delights throughout the day.
Activities
The Disney Dream comes designed with three pools – one for children, another for families, and a third just for adults – and several nightclubs and lounges in The District. As well, you and your children can watch spectacular entertainment onboard, such as musicals, first-run movies in 3D, and a fireworks show, but the true heart of activities – and the aspect making Disney different from most cruise lines – is the Youth Clubs.
For kids and teens, each club presents an interactive, immersive program, with delightful, bright spaces throughout the ship. The Dream features:
Nursery: For all children under 3 years of age.
Disney Oceaneer Club: This children’s activity center presents a colorful space for playing dress-up, computer games, and more supervised activities.
Disney Oceaneer Lab: Let your children learn more and explore with computers in this interactive lab space.
Edge: The space for tweens (11 to 14 years of age) offers television, music, and video games in an age-appropriate environment.
Vibe: This indoor lounge with an outdoor deck is built for teens, 14 to 17 years of age. Drop them off for an afternoon of television, video games, music, and internet access.
D Lounge: Join your kids for games, singing, and watching live entertainment in this family-oriented space.
Arr-Cade: The classic format comes aboard the Dream, letting you and your children try out the latest video games.
